What do we teach in our classes?
The Dundee Arabic Language Centre has been successfully operating in Dundee for over five years and we are focused on teaching the Arabic language, below are some facts about Arabic:
Arabic is the fifth most widely spoken language in the world with over 300 million speakers.
It is the official language in 22 countries.
Arabic script is written right to left and each letter has 3 or 4 different forms.
We teach Arabic speaking, writing and reading including working on correct pronunciation, enriching vocabulary and enabling you to express yourself in conversation. We also teach spelling and how to form sentences. We offer a customised curriculum to suit children of all ages and abilities including complete beginners and those who have some grasp of Arabic. Below is a list of some of the topics that are covered, this is not an exhaustive list:

Who are the classes for?
The younger your child starts to learn Arabic, the easier it is to master. Our Arabic lessons help children as young as 5 years old learn Arabic via our customised Arabic study plan. Children of all backgrounds are welcome to attend the classes and there are no pre-requisites in terms of knowledge of the Arabic language as we can cater to all ability levels.
How is the teaching delivered?
Currently, our teaching is delivered in classroom and online using video conferencing software, this can be either in groups or 1-2-1 as required. We use a variety of different online resources to ensure that the children are engaged and able to make the most of the teaching. All of our teachers are native Arabic speakers with over 30 years combined teaching experience; our teachers are key actors in shaping a motivational learning environment to help children learn Arabic the modern way.
